Westin Swim 120 Sinking
Westin Swim 120 is a solid swimbait profile lure that has a unique S-shaped swimming pattern on even the slowest of retrieves. This sinking model will reach depths between 1-3m as it has a slow sink but will sink further if you allow it to.
Great lure to use in lakes and dams on large Murray Cod that feed in against the edges in 1-3m, especially on first and last light. A simple slow rolling retrieve is all that's needed but you can pause and twitch this lure to impart more action. Can also be used in rivers and creeks with huge success, if you find you are snagging too much you can retrofit with double or single hooks.
A very easy lures to use, it casts like a bullet and cuts through the wind easily making it a great lure for those windy situations. They come in a brilliant range of colours that have a quality finish and also super strong Japanese Carbon Steel hooks that don’t need upgrading.

About Westin:
The Westin range of lures are distributed in Australia by JML Anglers Alliance. Westin produce plastics, swimbaits and surface lures which are used for Pike throughout Europe. JML noticed that these lures were perfect for Australian natives that they carefully selected the best lures to bring to Australia.
A range of products like the famous Shad Teez, Swim 120, Percy the Perch, Tommy the Trout, Hypo Teez, Barry the Bass and more! These lures are perfect for monster Murray Cod and have been used widely by anglers like Adam Townsend to land some massive cod.
Rhys' Recommendation: 'The Westin Swim is a very versatile cod lure and has accounted for huge numbers of cod captures, especially in the New England region by gun cod angler Adam Townsend. He uses these to catch plenty of cod in the gorge country and also lakes like Copeton. If you are using these lures in places with heavy timber just change the hooks to doubles or singles and face the hook points backwards. That way they will become much more snag resistant.' |
