Balista Juggernaut 65
The Juggernaut 65 lipless crankbait features Balista's LED technology, a specifically subtle rattle and a slow sink rate, around 3 seconds per meter. The slow sink rate gives the target species more time to take the lure.
Great lure for targeting Golden Perch in lakes and dams during spring. Perfect weight and length for searching the margins and fishing them down the rocky banks. The Juggernaut sits on its nose which is perfect for tough bites and to reduce snagging. Can be both slow rolled and hoped.
Can also be used in snaggy environments like creeks and rivers by either changing the hooks to singles or by cutting of the forward-facing bend on the treble.
Comes with super sharp BKK trebles to ensure you hook and hold big fish. The Juggernaut 65 is exceptionally good for Golden Perch, small Murray Cod, Redfin and even Australian Bass.
Slow sink rate, 3sec/per metre
Deadly side to side action on dead slow roll
Rests on its nose which helps with snag resistance
Super sharp BKK hooks
Balista Lures are designed using LED technology and flash when in the water. Design in Australia by James Dainton he was looking for a way to increase his catch rates. He tested a variety of LED’s at James Cook University to see if there was a correlation between flashing LED lights and increased feeding activity from fish.About Balista:
What he found was fascinating. In every experiment he did the Barramundi would always attack the red LED light, it was glaringly obvious that the Barra were fascinated by the red light.
Balista replicate this technology inside high quality made lures for all species of Australian fish, fresh and salt. A few of the models in the range are specifically design for freshwater species including the Smoke, Dyno, Hunchback, Juggernaut and Trigger.
|Rhys' Recommendation: 'Great lure for targeting spring time Golden Perch in big lakes and dams. A killer in Eildon when hopped down the rocky banks and also slow rolled through the standing trees. This lure also works well in Burrinjuck, Blowering, Wyangla, Windamere, Burrendong and other well-known Golden Perch waterways. Also don’t be afraid to cast them in small creeks for Golden Perch, just remember to change to single hooks.'|
